In the beginning, there’s always the idea. An original form, a play of perspectives and volumes, a skilful interlacing of lines and curves that the designer lays down on paper. Having become a sketch, the idea then begins a long journey until it becomes a tangible reality.
The first freehand drawings are followed by other sketches to refine the ideas and specify the proportions. If he is first and foremost an artist, the designer already takes into account, at this stage, the constraints of future manufacturing and above all, the movement that the fittings will have to accommodate. Throughout the design process, he works closely with the technical and development teams.
The designer then moves from pencil to computer in order to model the object in three dimensions. As colours, materials, light and relief are expressed with ever greater realism, he can work virtually on the life-size object to refine every detail.
A first prototype in resin follows, before the computer graphic file is translated into manufacturing terms by the technical office. Then a new prototype, this time in high-grade quality materials, is made. Once every detail has been optimized, the production of the fittings can begin.

The purpose of precise machining is to define the dimensions of the finished part, the precision, the geometry as well as the surface finish of all the surfaces that make up the machined part. At each stage of the manufacturing process, the designer and/or the machinist choose the type of machining to be carried out, the machine; the tool and the work- piece support stand enable all the dimensioning elements of the surface in question to be obtained. Our tools are at the cutting edge of technology which allows us to machine a multitude of curved surfaces.
HORUS offers its customers the widest range of finishes, allowing private individuals, architects, decorators… to customize the faucets and fittings with the finish deemed best suited to the decorative environment of the bathroom or kitchen.
The finishes are carried out on each of the decorative parts, before assembly of the complete fittings.
